Another Week in My Life!

I can't seem to get anything organized in my life, lately. Can you try to do too many things at once? That is probably my trouble. Things I want to get done:

  1. Get my stamp room organized
  2. Finish up the swaps I have signed up for.
  3. Clean My House - UGH!
  4. Go visit some of my friends and mail others a card.
  5. Build up my Stampin'Up business - I have been very reluctant to do this. But there is so many new stamps, papers and embellishments coming along this summer - I just want to share with everyone!
  6. Make an opportunity to visit my in-laws, spend more time with my two boys, and maybe make time for myself and Gayle!

Ok - A woman can dream can't she? I wonder how many more people have the same thoughts, (except maybe the stamping parts) as I do?

In Sunday school today, our lesson was listing the qualities of a husband and qualities of a wife. If you are married, I'm sure you realize that these lists were opposites in most things.

Husband .....Wife

Leader........ Teacher

Provider...... Organizer

Protector...... Nurturer

Dreamer ......Practical

As the examples above show us, the old saying "opposites attract" pretty much runs true, but we also complement each other. God made us to need each other and today people are looking for "material items" to meet this need. It just doesn't work. My best action for completing all the items on my list would be to pray and ask God for his help. I think I'll spend the rest of this day doing that.

It's hard to believe that two weeks have gone by! I am a demonstrator for "Stampin' Up!" products and our promotion is on for Sell-a-Bration. WOW! there are some delightful new stamps that you can get for FREE with an order of just $50.00. My stamping projects recently have been valentine cards for my great nieces and nephews and a special one for my sweety!

Our church had a Valentine's Dinner on Wednesday, Feb 14th. The special thing about it was that the "men" did all the cooking, decorating, and clean-up. How great is that! I made sure to get a photo of Gayle washing dishes....

Of course, I don't have a photo of my kitchen after he made spaghetti and grean beans...

I had Chloe and Hunter after Traci went to work- they were wound up by the time Jason came in - they had each eaten one of those small heart valentine boxes that has 4 pcs of chocolate in them. Oh My, the benefits of being a grandmother.

I'm posting this about midnight on Friday, Feb 16th. Gayle is working in W.VA but will be home on Saturday. Then he goes back on Tuesday and I will go with him. I have become friends with all the housekeepers and desk clerks-they know to give us a room with the mic/fridg in it. I completed another scrapbook page of Hunter and Chloe from August 2006. Chloe would be 31 months and Hunter 13 months. This was a photo shoot that cost both grandmothers and parents some money-we wanted them all!

I found this lovely saying (it is in the scallop):
The sea has its Pearls
the heaven its stars,
but my heart, my heart
has grandchildren.
The other words scattered about on the page reads: loved, cute, sweet, and happy. This pretty well describes what the page says to me. Now you know why I am a demo for scrapbooking and rubber stamp supplies--discounts!
I suppose you can tell that I love bright colors and lots of flowers and brads. Each flower has a jewel brad which matches. So BLINGY.....Well, this lady must get some rest. Have a blessed week.

Wow! Today I took on a challenge! I created a "blog".

Hello, my name is Betty and I live in a very small town in Kentucky. My favorite hobby is scrapbooking, but I think I purchase and hoard more items than I acutally use! There is such a variety of products available in papers, embellishments, inks, stamps, and oh, let's don't forget ribbon and brads! A scrapper can never have enough of those hidden away. Actually, my interest in scrapbooking peaked when I was blessed with getting a daughter-in-law . (Traci has a blog at http://tracitodd.typepad.com/ ) She is so talented with ideas for scrapping and beading (jewelry), well, I just couldn't help myself and joined the other millions of scrappers!

Then, I surfed my way to find the SplitCoast Stampers site www.splitcoaststampers.com and it's been a joyous adventure since then. I am still amazed at the creativity of individuals - and can spend all day just looking at galleries. Scrapbooking has become my preference over making cards, because I now have two darling grandchildren to photograph and leave memories for. The Lord has truly blessed me.
